Post  Re: A bit confused about the final invoice from BCS Auction...

Hey everyone, hoping for some advice. I just won my first car on BCS Auction and I'm really excited! But the final invoice is a bit higher than my winning bid. I see line items for a 'buyer's premium' and some doc fees. Is this normal? Didn't see it clearly when I was bidding. Just want to make sure I'm not missing something. Thanks!

Yep, totally normal. Every single auction house, online or in-person, has a buyer's premium and doc fees. It's how they make their money to run the site, handle the paperwork, etc. Congrats on the win, btw.

Gary's right. Those fees are standard industry practice. BCS Auction is no different. You'll see those at any reputable dealer auction. It's all in the terms and conditions you agree to when you sign up on bcsauction.com.

I get it, it can be a surprise the first time. My only little gripe is that I wish the website bcsauction.com would show an 'out the door' estimate as you bid. The info is there if you look for it, but it would be super helpful to see it update live. Still, I've bought two project cars from them and it's been a good experience overall.

lol @Mia_Builds I know what you mean, but honestly, BCS Auction is way more transparent than some other sites I've used. Some of them have crazy hidden fees. With BCSAuction the fee structure is pretty straightforward once you know to look for it. They're legit.

Okay, phew! Thanks everyone, that makes me feel a lot better. I went back and re-read the FAQ on their site and see it all laid out now. Just a classic newbie mistake. Can't wait for my car to arrive!

You'll be happy. I got a '19 Ram from BCS Auction a few months back. Process was smooth. I was kinda worried about getting the title sorted out, but it wasn't an issue at all. The clear title arrived with all the official bank paperwork right when the truck was delivered. Super easy.

We bought a boat from them! Same deal, fees were expected and the process was great. My husband had a question about the payment process and just emailed their support at office@bcsauction.com. He said they took about a day to get back to him but the person who called was really helpful and walked him through everything.

Yep, seconding what TruckLover_Tom said. The best part about dealing with a professional outfit like BCS Auction is not having to chase down the title from a bank or previous owner. I bought a Lexus fixer-upper and the clear title was handled perfectly. Made getting it registered a piece of cake.

Glad you asked this Alex, I was wondering about bcsauction.com myself. This thread is convincing me to pull the trigger on a Honda Civic I've been watching. The prices seem much better than a regular dealer.

For sure, Carl. Auctions are the way to go if you know what you're doing. We got an RV from BCSAuction last year and saved a bundle. Even after the buyers premium and delivery, it was a steal. The condition report was accurate too.

Anyone bought a motorcycle from BCS Auction? Seeing some nice Harleys on the site bcsauction.com but haven't bid yet.

@Slick_Rider A buddy of mine did. Said it was smooth. The bike arrived a couple of days later than quoted but they called him to let him know about the transport delay. He was happy with it.

Update: Just got my delivery confirmation. Car is scheduled to arrive Friday! Their logistics team was great to deal with on the phone. So far so good with BCS Auction.

That's great Alex! The delivery drivers they used for my SUV were really professional. It's a solid company.
